Hi, I’m Lux Oleander! I write dark rom coms and slasher romances that feature serial killers as the love interests.

Essentially, I create unhinged romances for other feral individuals looking to laugh at things they probably shouldn’t, while falling in love with villains. My stories have lots of sexual tension, disturbingly fun characters, and chaotic plots.

As an ex-psych student, I tend to incorporate psychology themes. Which is a polite way to say that I have no idea how to write sane characters. I’m currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing; studying my craft and interested in pursuing teaching.

For the past ten years, I’ve been surviving the heat, humidity, and mall-sized gas stations of East Texas (it’s surprisingly easy to get lost in an oversized rest stop, there’s a dimensional rift between the smoked meats and frozen slushies). I've also lived in the Appalachia, grew up in coastal cities, and if you travel down enough dirt roads in Arkansas or Georgia, you’ll find someone I’m related to.

My stories have banter, body counts, and charming psychopaths. Dark feminism is a big theme of my books, meaning the women are just as dangerous as the villains that stalk them. Messy, forbidden romances that straddle the line between love, frustration, and hate are my favorite type of tension. Expect obsession as a love language, stalkers, and plenty of dark humor.
